This client decided their home was in need of major updating but wanted to maintain the “rustic” feel of the existing décor and style. We handled the staining of the window trim and baseboards, adding molding to the doorway framing as well as prepping the walls for a fresh coat of paint. We also took down the doors and stained them in a rich brown color to match the trim. The stairwell received major refurbishing and looks like a whole new staircase, and the unfinished basement became a finished space! Select areas of the home had its hardwood floors restored while others needed the existing flooring removed and a similar design installed in its place.
During the renovations, the homeowner found a temporary residence, but the house cat remained to supervise the renovation and inspect the final remodeling. 10/10 experience; would work with the Sir Cat again!
Before Renovation
Here are a few shots of select areas of the home that were refurbished and renovated for a more modern, rustic look.
Trim, Doors, & Baseboards
We brought life back to the original doors, trim, and baseboards during this renovation project.
Flooring
Updating flooring was a must for this client and they needed to match the rustic theme without being too dark.
Staircase
Renovating this staircase was a unique remodeling project but with Sir Cat’s oversight, it was completed with relative ease.
Basement
We changed this basement from its original dirt floor to a concreted, useable space—whether for storage, a game room, or for Sir Cat to call his own.
